ARCHITECTURE STUDIO ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
Urban redevelopment project of the district Lungo Po Abellonio
Moncalieri (municipality of Turin)

The study section is located in Moncalieri and consists of a park and a residential area.
The green area is set between the bank of River Po inside a natural river park and the downtown, but it is separated from the latter by a highly trafficked road that prevents any easy communication between the two.
The basic idea of the project is creating a connection between these two areas both at local and territorial level shaping each action around environmental issues. This is where the concept “Sustainable Ties” comes from.

Project for a Sustainable Waterfront Park District
Entella River Lavagna, (municipality of Geneve)

The Entella River floods the park area seasonally, and these seasonal inundations need to be accommodated as part of the project.
The is one of the most extensive green areas and also a traditional areas of community gardens for the residents of Lavagna.
It feels isolated and privatized by the farmers.

The study area is the garden of the historic Palace of Albini Della Rovere, born as a hortus conclusus.
The aim of this work consists in a preliminary design survey exploring, in a systematic way, the stages of analysis leading to the final solution.

The study area is fragmented and highly trafficked thoroughfares run all along the quarter. Nevertheless it benefits from an interesting raised viewpoint.
